Michelle Niestepski is an Associate Professor of Writing at Lasell College. Professor Niestepski completed her post doctorate work at Northeastern University and is a co-author of the Instructor's Resource Manual to accompany The Longman Handbook for Writers and Readers, 6th ed. (Longman, 2010). She has given several professional presentations including "Learning Through Service Learning" at the National Council of Teachers of English in November '10, as well as "Rethinking Student Attitudes Towards Grammar" at the Annual Conference on College Composition and Communication in March '10.
What is important for your students to take away from your classes?
“I want students to come away from my writing classes understanding the importance of writing and feeling confident in their ability to handle the various writing situations they will find themselves in, both in other classes and in the workplace.”
