Younger Preschool (ages 3 yrs-4 yrs)

Lisa Callahan, Younger Preschool Lead Educator
I have been working as a teacher in early childhood education since 1991 and began teaching at The Holway Child Study Center in 1994. I have enjoyed each moment in the Younger Preschooler classroom, learning, smiling and laughing with your children. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in psychology.
I dreamed at an early age that I would choose a career that allowed me to work with young children. I suppose I was predestined to follow in my mother’s footsteps, as she was a kindergarten teacher for 25 years. I truly enjoy the innocence, enthusiasm, and sense of wonderment that the children share with me each day.
Jessica Zabchuck, Younger Preschool Educator
I am a 2011 graduate of Lasell College with a BA in Early Childhood Education. I have lived in Newton for twenty years and am a Newton North graduate. At Newton North, I majored in early childhood education and received my preschool teacher certification. I have always loved children and knew from a young age that being a teacher is what I always wanted to do. I have enjoyed every minute of working at the Barn since my freshman year, I am looking forward to spending more time at The Barn, and continuing to work with children for many years to come.
