Older Preschool (ages 4 yrs-5 yrs)

Sara Miller, Older Preschool Lead Educator
I have been teaching at the Barn since 2002. I began in the Younger Preschool classroom as a teacher for six years, before becoming the Lead Teacher of the Older Preschool classroom in 2008. I attended Mount Ida College where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Psychology. In 2004, I completed my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Lesley University. I am also a part-time faculty member here at Lasell College. I thoroughly enjoy educating young students. Everyday at the Barn is new and exciting! I look forward to each new academic year that gives me the opportunity to nurture your children to reach their full potential.

Lindsey Flaherty, Older Preschool Educator
I came to The Barn in 2010 with five and one-half years of experience teaching in preschool.  I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Westfield State College in 2004 with a double major in Liberal Studies and Elementary Education.  My future educational goal is a Masters degree in the educational field.

During high school I spent a good deal of time with preschoolers in the Child Lab.  By junior year I was a lead teacher.  I spent five summers as a camp counselor and a specialty counselor.   I have spent the last five and one-half years in two different preschool settings, working as a team teacher, a lead teacher, and as a solo classroom teacher.

I love the outdoors and am eager to share this passion with the students.  No such thing as inclement weather, just plan your outerwear accordingly.  Changing the air in kids' lungs does them a world of good mentally, spiritually, and physically.  Crafting, cooking, antiquing, quilting, and collecting children's books are some of the pastimes I enjoy.

I am so pleased to be able to join a wonderful staff at The Barn.  I am looking forward to sharing my experience, ideas, humor, and fellowship with the students, parents, and staff.
