This winter has been kind to us so far. Please listen to WBZ 1030AM or WRKO 680AM on your radio or TV channels 4, 5, or 7 for weather related closings. We are closed if Lasell College is closed. I will also change the message on the office phone (617-243-2355) to indicate whether or not we are closed. College closings are also posted on the Lasell website at or you may call the Lasell Snow Line at 617-243-2208. We will also follow the college delays.

Our Rockwell Calendar indicates that we will have a professional day on Thursday, April 7th. This day has been changed to Monday, April 11th. Our 4-year-old class is starting an intergenerational program on 6 consecutive Thursdays and it will run from March 24th through April 28th, so we felt it would be easier to move our professional date to accommodate this program with Lasell Village and Newton Senior Center volunteers. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We have a several returning Lasell students at Rockwell this semester. Kelsey Williams has returned to us on Monday and Tuesday mornings. Gabrielle Paterson will be helping us out on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Mallorie Smith will be back on Tuesdays and Mackenzie Knight will be with us on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. There will also be several Education pre-practicum students joining us 2 hours each week for the semester. Also, Professor Jose Guzman’s Spanish students will be back to teach some basic Spanish to the children in each class (schedule not available yet). We are extremely pleased to have them all with us this semester!
