- Children need warm outerwear, including snow pants, mittens, boots, and hats for winter outdoor play. Please make sure to label all of these items with your child’s name. We do take note of the outside temperature, and do not go out for extended periods if it is extremely cold.
- We greatly appreciate your cooperation in keeping children home when they have fevers, bad coughs and colds.
- We follow Lasell College when closing for snow days. Please listen to WBZ 1030 AM on your radio or TV channels 4, 5, or 7. I will also change the message on the office phone (617-243-2355) to indicate that we are closed. The information can also be found at www.lasell.edu, and on Lasell’s snow line at 617-243-2208. If Lasell delays opening by one hour, we will also delay opening by one hour (9:30). If there is a two-hour delay we may be closed for the day.
- If you have not yet returned your tuition payment or stay-day payment, please do so this week.
We would like to thank you for your good wishes and gifts during the holiday season. Though certainly not necessary they were greatly appreciated.
Thanks also to those who participated in our mitten and hat drive and blanket drive. The warm mittens and hats collection was added to that of the college faculty and staff and sent to Cradles to Crayons. Blankets were given to an animal shelter at Last Hope K9 in Boston.
ROCKWELL KEY CARDS
Most of our key cards have come in, and we will be giving those to you. Unfortunately, at this time, the cards are not working on the playground door. The plan is to keep all doors unlocked between 8:30 and 9:00 each morning. At approximately 9:00 we will lock the doors, and families who arrive after that time will need to enter through the middle driveway door using their key card. We will unlock the doors at 11:15 and again at 12:45 for pick-up time. We will ask that stay-day families use their key cards for pick-up after 1:00. Pick-up is often outdoors, so we hope that this will not be a big inconvenience.
We extend a great big thank you to all who took part in our annual holiday brunch. A special thanks goes out to our photographer, Bob Cantin (Pat’s Husband), for his donation of time and talent. We mustn’t forget that our gratitude also goes especially to Chris “Santa” Greeley and his two elves, Nora Greeley and Nicole O’Dowd and helper, Lauren O’Dowd for their very special part in the fun and success of the morning. They did a great job!
MY FIRST YOGA and PLAYFUL TUNES
Our yoga program starts on Monday, Jan. 6th for our stay-day group. The class will run from 1:15 to 2:00 through Monday, March 10th. Playful Tunes, our music program will begin on Wed., Jan 8th from 1:00 to 1:45 (pick-up still at 2:00). This program will run for 8 consecutive weeks ending with our last class on Wednesday, February 26th.
We understand that drop-off and pick-up parking is, on the best of days, sometimes a challenge. We also know that the snow makes it even more so. We thank you for your patience and perseverance during these winter months.
