Our annual Parent Curriculum Night will be held on Tuesday, October 4th for our 3-year-old families from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., and on Thursday, October 6th for our  TK and 4-year-old families.  The 4-year-old meeting will run from 6:00 to 7:00 and our Transition K. families will meet from 7:00 to 8:00. This is a great opportunity to see how your children spend their time each day and to find out how the teachers develop their curriculum.  We look forward to seeing you there!  No children please.

We know that with construction on Aspen Ave, parking has often been a challenge, and people have been ticketed for parking under the No Parking signs on Studio Road.  I have spoken to the Newton Traffic Supervisor, and he is going to have the "Ticketer" stay away from Studio Road (where there are "No Parking signs) between 8:30 and 9:00, between11:20 and 11:45, and between 12:45 and 1:15.  So, while construction is going on, it may be safe to park on Studio Road at those times.  I have been told that construction (including curbing) will be done by Oct 5th.   With the exception of Wednesdays, families picking up at either 2:00 or 3:00 are welcome to use the Rockwell driveway/parking lot. We greatly appreciate your patience.

On Friday morning, October 14th, Nicki Pardo will be taking class and individual photos.  After the photos have been taken, you will receive information about the website that you will go to and choose your child's photo and the number and size(s) you would like.  There is a deposit required, and it will go toward your photo purchase.  More information to come.

Spanish lessons began on Wednesday, September 28th.  Professor Guzman's second year Spanish students have returned to Rockwell to teach the children some basic Spanish each Wednesday throughout the semester.   There are 2 or 3 students in each classroom from 10:00 to 10:30 teaching numbers, colors, common words and phrases. We are happy to have them back.

On Friday, October 28th, we will have a Halloween Family event/Open House.  It will run from 5:30 to 7:30 pm and there will be live entertainment with Imagine and Move, Halloween crafts, Face Painting, Cupcake decorating, and pizza, beverages, and snacks for purchase.  Families looking for a preschool for the 2017-18 school year will be invited to attend.  More information to come.

Our annual Halloween celebrations will be held on Monday, October 31st.  Please check your classroom newsletter or speak to one of the teachers for more information.

Parent conferences will be coming up in November.  Each classroom will have a signup sheet available.  A number of time slots will be offered, and we request that every family sign up.  Please speak with one of your child's teachers if you would like more information.

If you are paying your child's tuition in 4 installments, the second payment is now due.  Thanks!

Each month we will be placing a Scholastic Book Club order form in your child's mail box.  There are some good deals on books in these flyers, and with your purchase the school earns "points" and get free books and other classroom supplies.  If you are interested in purchasing any books, please register and order online at  Our school code is HBMWL, and this month's deadline to order is October 12th.

Happy Fall and Happy Halloween!!
