Access Services:

  • Access Services staff assists patrons at the front desk, as well as via phone and email, to answer questions, help patrons find materials in the library and Minuteman system
  • Check-out and check-in of library materials, including reserve items and faculty/staff equipment lending
  • Manage renewals, fines, lost material fees and account stops
  • Programming such as student movie nights and author readings

Research and Instruction Services:

  • Research guidance for courses or individuals, in person or remote, on demand or by appointment
  • LibGuides providing 24/7/365 tutorials on broad and specific topics, how-to instruction, and custom-made guides for courses
  • Academic Library Liaisons for all programs, connecting Librarians with faculty for planning purchases, improving our collections, and learning about each department's needs and priorities

Technical Services:

  • Behind-the-scenes Librarians ordering, receiving, and processing everything the Library acquires
  • Management of course reserves for faculty, and the integation of Library resources into course Moodle pages
  • Interlibrary Loan service, free of charge, providing Lasell students, faculty and staff with information resources not found in-house
  • Organization of electronic resources including e-books, full-text journal databases, and streaming video, making the "virtual library" easy to use and accessible all the time from nearly anywhere
