Intellectual Exploration

Students at Lasell College are expected to intellectually challenge themselves the summer prior to their first year. Students will participate in a Summer Common Reading where they will have the opportunity to establish connections with their peers prior to meeting them in the classroom (through an online forum or a book?). While at Lasell students will participate in multiple connected learning experiences, where they will be engaged in real world situations based on their major. Lasell offers a First Year Seminar where students can choose the topic based off from their own interest and placed in the classroom with other students of the same interest; together they will learn how to transition into their first year of college, while learning about Lasell and forming relationships with those around them. ... Students are provided resources to help them succeed through the Academic Achievement Center where there are professional tutors, and also gain support for disability support services.
