This field of study focuses on understanding the American legal system. Constitutional law is introduced, the organization and operation of the legal system are examined and the role of federal, state and local government is explored.  Skills are developed in research and writing. This provides an introduction to the study of law for those interested in law school. Career options are found in law firms, courts, social services, law enforcement, politics and government agencies.
