Tutoring
- Free tutoring open to all Lasell students, available on walk-in basis or by appointment
- Tutors are available for a wide range of courses and give individual instruction for specific course work
- Help available to improve writing, reading comprehension, and study skills
Services for the Learning Disabled Lasell College recognizes the individuality of each student’s learning style. The Academic Achievement Center (AAC) provides special resources for students with documented learning disabilities.
- Extended time for tests
- Exams or quizzes read or answered orally
- Use of tape recorder in the classroom
- Note takers
- Access to textbooks on tape
- Use of Kurzweill personal reader
- Use of Alphasmart in classroom
Workshops and Study Groups
- Workshops provide practical strategies for developing time management and study skills, improving note-taking, reading, critical thinking skills and writing research papers.
- Study groups are organized to allow students to share ideas, support one another, and prepare for tests.
Online Resources The AAC maintains resources on the student intranet that provide tips on Writing, Time Management, Test Preparation, Research Papers, and more.
