DEAN OF GRADUATE AND PROFESSIONAL STUDIES
Lasell College seeks an innovative and experienced individual to assume a leadership role in researching, planning, managing, and assessing all initiatives and programs in the area of Graduate and Professional Studies. The Graduate School currently offers several Master of Science degree concentrations and certificates. The program enrolls 100 students currently with the strategic goal of at least tripling this number within five years, as it introduces new degrees, including, but not limited to, an MS in Communication and an MEd with concentrations in Elementary and Special Needs. The Dean reports directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, serves as a member of the Vice President’s senior management team in academic affairs, and holds primary responsibility for:
• Working closely with Department Chairs, Academic Center Directors, and Faculty on all aspects of program development, assessment, and state approval for new degrees; scheduling, faculty hiring, and development of multiple course delivery formats, including online;
• Working closely with Graduate Admissions on all aspects of market analysis of existing and potential degree programs; marketing to prospective students, developing strategic partnerships with external organizations, and orientation of new students;
• Working with various College offices and departments supporting graduate student services and program development;
• Teaching one course in each of four sessions throughout the academic year.
Successful candidates will hold a terminal degree in their academic field, a proven track record of excellence in college teaching and college program administration, experience with multiple course-delivery formats, an entrepreneurial commitment, and superb leadership, communication, and organizational skills. The candidate should possess clear evidence of an ability to work in a supportive and collaborative way with students, faculty, and college staff and administration in a higher education setting.
The Dean works on a full year (twelve-month) cycle.

VICE PRESIDENT FOR BUSINESS AND FINANCE
As Chief Financial Officer, this position is responsible for ensuring the financial integrity of the College and Lasell Village and advising the President on all matters of fiscal security and accountability, financial planning, and stewardship of College resources. This position has fiduciary responsibility for the safeguarding of all College assets and managing all funds and securities of the College. This position provides leadership, direction, strategic planning, and coordination for the Business and Finance Department, Department of Plant Operations and Public Safety, the Department of Information Technology, Human Resources (all of which support the academic and administrative departments of the College) and the Business Office of Lasell Village. Areas of responsibility may change based on the experience and qualifications of the person hired.
Qualifications: This position requires a Master’s degree (preferably an MBA). A minimum of ten years’ increasingly progressive experience in the higher education finance field which demonstrates successful leadership, management, and financial acumen in a senior administrative capacity is preferred. The successful candidate will also provide evidence of strong organizational, analytical, supervisory, and communication skills; experience integrating financial and strategic planning; knowledge of best practices in fiscal and other functions; ability to think creatively and strategically and to anticipate problems and opportunities; and an understanding of the compelling mission, challenges, and governance of higher education.
