The new facility strengthens the sense of community we have on the Lasell campus.. Students can sit by the fireplace and relax, enjoy the company of friends over a cup of gourmet coffee, or listen to a live musical performance during 'open mike night'. The state-of-the-art facility provides the campus community with a host of options for gathering, working, studying, enjoying live performances, and dining.

Center for Community-Based Learning
Plummer House, x2156
The Lasell College Center Community-Based Learning provides support and opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to engage in community service in order to deepen academic learning; promote values of citizenship; provide practical, project-focused experience; and develop initiatives that make a direct and lasting contribution to local communities and society. In particular, the Center works with students and faculty to design and implement community service-learning projects as an integral component of the connected learning concept at Lasell College.

Students and faculty participate in a wide range of service programs including: tutoring programs in public schools, fundraising for shelters serving victims of domestic violence, volunteering for tax return assistance, working with organizations providing internet service for urban communities, and repairing low income homes in Appalachia.
