Finance

Finance is the study of the assets of corporations and/or individuals. Students learn to understand what is involved in obtaining corporate financing and managing financial risk. Areas of study include financial instruments, institutions, and markets associated with business. Finance students develop a wide array of analytical skills, attain a thorough understanding of the finance function in various organizations, and sharpen their awareness of how financial institutions and markets function in a global environment. Graduates receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the Accounting and Finance Department.

In addition to all courses in the above disciplines, courses that are marked with an asterisk (*) in the course descriptions section of the Catalog meet the Arts and Sciences Elective requirement.
