Dr. Janice Barrett holds numerous degrees and experience in higher education administration and teaching. Dr. Barrett holds an Ed.D and a M.Ed. in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy from Harvard University, a M.S. in Mass Communication from Boston University, and a B.S. in English/Education from Boston College. Having served as both communication faculty and in varied administration positions at several colleges around the nation and abroad, including Boston University, Quinnipiac University, Harvard University and as a Fulbright Scholar at Dublin City University in Dublin, Ireland, Dr. Barrett has extensive experience educating graduate students and managing programs in higher education. Most recently, Dr. Barrett was Associate Dean of Communications at Quinnipiac University, where her responsibilities included academic advising, curriculum, policy and program development, among others. Dr Barrett, who will be teaching Conflict Resolution and Negotiation, Crisis Communications, and Media Relations in the graduate program, serves as a highly respected and knowledgeable faculty person in the field.
