Biography:
Sharyn Lowenstein's primary academic interests include student leadership, social justice, service-learning, the internship experience, student development, first year experiences, and international adoption. She is the author of Frame by Frame: A Visual Guide to College Success, and she has written articles on student success and academic learning centers.

Prior to her position at Lasell, Sharyn Lowenstein served as Grant Writer at Bunker Hill Community College, Learning Center director at Lesley University, and faculty at University of N.H. at Manchester and the College of Public and Community Service at the University of Massachusetts. She currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Newton Office of Volunteer Services, and she participates in the Massachusetts Campus Compact Service Directors' Think Tank.

In addition to her teaching, Sharyn Lowenstein directs the Center for Community-Based Learning, coordinates the linked-credit program, and promotes service-learning across the curriculum.
